It is a nice place for surfing and partying. However it is in most aspects very expensive (there are many similar places around that are cheaper). Even the city itself charges for everything (parking, tourist tax), I would not have been surprised to have to pay to use the loo.
In the evening, it is a cacophony of loud music, be it live or blasting from speakers in the many bars and restaurants which attract a noisy crowd until very late. The National Park experience is very disappointing, because everyday there are about a thousand buggies, pick-ups and quads running up and down the sand dunes, many blasting loud music. The tours are planned around private "attractions" with entrance fees and expensive service.
In general I had the feeling there is a gold rush attitude but the service provided in return is insufficient. (Bad value for money). However this is not true for all places, there were some pretty nice restaurants. Probably anônimo not the best place for relaxed beach vacation.
